What do you think about cutting a brand new hot tub in 4 peices to bring it into a basement so it can fit?

I have a basement thats finished. Large and nicely lit. I want a hot tub but I cant make it fit down the stairs and into the place. So i have contacted a fiberglass boat repair shop who claims they can slice it up into 4 peices (http://www.boatcrafts.net/). He will cut it into peices that will fit downstairs.. Chop down all the pipes and then when he puts it back together he will fix each pipe with PCV glue and additional pipes. I am just wondering if anyone sees anything wrong with this idea? There is no other way to get it into the basement. The idea is crazy I know but its only fiberglass.. And if there ends up being a seem of some kind.. I dont care too much. The idea is just to have a hottub function in that spot… This is the ONLY WAY… the other option is to dig a hole and do a gunnight cement version.. but its priced at $50k.. Not interested in this investment.. Too crazy…
