We are going to install a new inground pool liner and have some questions prior to doing so.?
ByWe have spots that we are going to fill with poolkrete as we were originally instructed to do. We were also told that maybe we should put foam on the walls (they are steel) prior to installing the liner. NOTE: They didn’t have foam on the walls before Also, we haven’t run the pool in a couple of years, so we will need to test the filtration system we have but we aren’t sure how to do that. Any suggestions? Also the steps that lead into the pool are cracked and we were wondering if those could be fixed without replacing them entirely. They are built into the pool. I believe they are fiberglass. Can we just re-seal the spots that are cracked with some type of material? Can we also test the lines ourselves without calling a professional out? Any help that can provided is greatly appreciated. Please feel free to message me on yahoo at darinchgo1@yahoo.com if you don’t want to leave a lengthy message here. Thank you again.
Thank you both for your reply. I would go ahead with a contractor to do this, however, their pricing ($4,000) is a bit out of range of what I can afford right now. We have managed to repair the sides of the pool (not the steel walls as these are fine) and it looks great. It helps that my husband is in the masonry business. So knowing that we are doing it ourselves, what can you tell me about pressure testing and the filter system? Thanks again for your feedback.
