How safe are you in a basement during a tornado?

Could a storm that strong suck you out of your basement?
What are the chances the house could collapse on top of you?
I am asking these questions because I will be relocating to Amarillo, Texas, which is right inside tornado alley, and I want to know where I should go should an EF5 tornado hit us.

How much should I charge to paint half a basement and a bedroom?

How many people live in the basement of their house/apartment?
Posted by: | CommentsI’m livin in the basement of a 3-bedroom townhouse. I moved to a new area (Dearborn) for a new job, and I had to room with other young people working at Ford, also.
So for whatever reason you live in the basement, perhaps still livin’ at home

How can I keep my cats confined to the basement in a split level home?
Posted by: | CommentsWe are moving to a split level home and there is no basement door. We also have a dog that does not get along with the cats, so we will have to keep them apart. The problem is that I’m concerned that either the dog or cats will jump over any kind of gate we put up between them. Any ideas??
