I had this fantastic game, lot of time spent to play it in my childhood, also with videogame version for Amiga. There was another game at that time very popular but I don’t recall its name, about a vulcano island and you had to reach the top… good memories

It seems you cannot really comprehend the philosophy behind tabletop games and thus of an epic -to say the least- tabletop as Heroquest was.You see the feeling of gathering people around a table being the dungeon master yourself, having prepared a quest for quest book and having the whole board set and ready pencils and such…gives you a whole different aspect of fun,not to mention the social factor on tabletops.

i miss this game so much, i wish gameswork shoppe would release this again, with new quests and stuff, i ahve noticed that the dnd board game is very simillair to heroquest, right down to the book of quests, and the way it’s laid out, but it’s not the same… thanks for the video, brings back some memories, of playing
March 13th, 2010 at 11:33 pm
is the only reason people play games like this because you cant go against each other in video games?
March 13th, 2010 at 11:41 pm
Hero Quest is one of the best board games ever put together. Thanks for posting the video.

4:18- OH MY GOD!!! WATCH OUT FOR THE TABLE!!!
I was really excited to see you review this game. It is deniably my favorite boardgame. What could be better than a less complex version of D&D with lots of pieces
