Waterproofing Concrete For A Pond And Pool?

By admin

I am building a new pond, and soon after a pool, and want to make it out of concrete. I have previously used hydraulic cement to waterproof an older concrete pond but its a pain, expensive and hard to work with. I know concrete leaks water fairly fast through its porous nature. Scouring through the internet i have not found a simple way to waterproof concrete. So i need help
-Is there a cheap additive to waterproof concrete
-Would pool paint create a watertight barrier
-Is there a sealer that you add to the concrete while you mix it, or after it dries.
-Does drylok work, ive heard that it starts coming off after a few years, i want something that lasts 10+
-Is there a cement mix that is water proof and not too expensive as i plan to buy bulk cement and mix in the sand and aggregate.
If someone can answer my question it would be greatly appreciated.
