Windows Xp Service Pack Problems Anyone Know Why ? It Is Driving Me Nuts Thanks?
ByI downloaded the windows xp service pack 2 install off microsoft’s website. halfway through the extraction, I get an error message saying File Corrupt. I have tried countless times to re-download or re extract, and it has not fixed the problem.It even works with windows XP service pack 3.

ohhh thats hurts, well, i prefer Service Pack 3, because you dont need Service Pack 2 anymore if You have Service Pack 3, and because it is more Updated and secure….
But still if you need to download it better go to the Update Catalog of Microsoft website below and search Windows XP Service Pack 3 (KB936929) or try to search the Service Pack 2 if you need to

if you can download the pack 3 then skip the pack 2 if you don’t need it,try to download it from download.com and see if it will work from there,you shouldn’t have to extract the files it should download everything automatically

You can try to update SP3, and then repair the system registry file.
