Only The Hot Water In The Kitchen Faucet Is Diminished Not The Cold. How To Fix?

already checked & cleaned the aerator and screen & removed a bunch of tiny white spheres (calcium?). The lower part of the faucet appears to have a gaping hole in the front where the cylindrical part attaches to the horizontal platform which attaches the entire mechanism to the sink.
