Do you know the location of the leak?Is it a flat roof,pitched roof?Asphalt,tile or wood shake?A flat roof you would use tar.A asphalt pitched roof you could find the leak and take out about 3-4 sq. feet from center of leak.You have to be careful especially with an older roof.If the leak is toward the peak you could temp. and use a large tarp to cover the leak until you ca get it fixed perm.Hope it works out for you.
