How to repair install Windows 7 on a pre-installed computer?

I have an annoying BSOD problem and I have to repair install Windows 7. However, my Windows 7 came pre-installed on my laptop and I don’t have an installation disk. Is there any way to get one or to repair install in some other way?
I do NOT want a factory reset. I want a way to repair Windows while keeping my programs and files.

  1. Scrawny says:

A common way to Factory Reset your computer is to hold down the Alt key and press F10 while the computer is booting. Check with your manufacturer to verify that this is correct for your computer.

Before doing this disconnect all peripherals then after the reset is complete add your peripherals one at a time.

Sometimes you can boot while pressing F8 to get to a menu of choices one of which is “last known good configuration” it could be worth a try.
