How do i downgrade from Windows 7 to XP?
by admin on Thursday, December 8th, 2011 | 2 Comments
I hate Windows 7 and I’m trying to install my Windows XP OS. I’ve been trying to do it the ‘legitimate’ way by using the information suggested on Window’s website but when i get to the “install now” blue screen (just after enter the date, place, keyboard type), there’s no ‘repair your computer’ option below – just ‘what to know before installing windows’ . I’m certain the os disk is no fake, it came with a brand new pc. Any ideas how to get my XP back? Any ideas how to format my pc?
Thanks for your help!

Format the PC and do a fresh install from your OS disk. Call Microsoft and request a new key.
Find a bootable CD of Windows XP and set your BIOS to boot from CD. Start XP setup which will automatically give the option to format the NTFS partition before installing Windows XP. If you don’t have a bootable CD, download an app called Win2Flash which will help you put XP setup files on a USB flash drive and boot your PC from the USB flash drive to start up XP Setup. If you are getting a Blue screen in XP Setup, set AHCI=off in your BIOS.
