Renting would be fine but owner financing so we can buy the home would be better. We want to move to a home anywhere in Nebraska, Kentucky, Tennesee, West Virginia or Mississippi. Our home (that we’ve been renting for the past 6 years) is structurally not safe so it’s crucial that we find a home to move to ASAP (before we wake up in the basement with the rest of our home on top of our heads). Our landlord & landlady are both in their 80′s, both have terminal illnesses, so with their medical expenses, they can’t afford to pay for the badly needed repairs on our home & neither can we. (We’re trying to pay for my recent surgery that cost over one million dollars. My insurance is paying 2/3 of the cost, we have to pay the remaining cost.) We can’t afford to pay more than $600 a month for rent. The home must have its own well, at least for the acreage, because we plan on growing a large vegetable garden for our own use and to give away to whoever wants free homegrown vegetables.
