My clutch is sometimes stil connected to the engine when i brake so im killing my egine. The dealer wants $3000.00 to reapir it or 4000 to get a new one. Is this s good deal? That is very expensive.

Dealers are crazy expensive when it comes to those repairs. My Acura dealer was working on my transmission (under warranty) so they car was already opened up (labor cost should have been way down). They wanted $1700 to replace the clutch. I talked to an outside shop and they said it would be $500 if I bought the new clutch on my own and brought it in or it would be $800 for them to get one.
Potential extra costs were $30 if they needed to resurface the flywheel or about $200 if they needed a new flywheel.
There were 2002 Impalas with manual transmissions??
Don’t you push the clutch in??
I could see maybe a torque converter staying locked up and causing that problem with an automatic.
Look thru your yellow pages and find a local tranny shop, ATRA certified (should say in the ad, if not, ask), and call them.
Do not use the stealership garage or any of the national chain tranny stores.
