San francisco doesn’t really have much computer repair shops, only one I know is Geek Squad and I don’t know there services. My computer is sorta weird lately, I can’t turn it on when I click the start button once, have to keep pushing it and pushing it till it starts for atleast 5 minutes. Dell told me it was either power supply, not enough energy to boost my computer up or Motherboard failure, but I can’t tell which one is the problem. Can “Geek squad” help me fix this problem? Thanks

Best way to repair credit?
Posted by: | CommentsI established a credit history starting 7 years ago, and for the most part, it was always in good standing. However, I would say that I have one blemish, and it happens to be a big one, a credit card charge off, yikes. Not sure how I let this happen, but it did happen. I am going to pay this in full ASAP, and not settle. What are the chances that the company would erase it from my credit report, I know they have the power, but are stating otherwise. I just pulled my credit score, and on an Experian scale 330-830, I scored 530, which is awful, I know. What is a realistic time frame to bring it up to 700? 1,2 years. In the next few months, I am going to pay the charge off in full, and pay off all my other credit cards. Thanks for your help. The good thing is that I am not looking to buy a car, or house anytime soon. How much did the charge off hurt? I swear, last summer, my score was over 725.
How to get revenge on person with phone number?
Posted by: | CommentsSomeone pulled a con on me where they pretended they needed help getting their car repaired. I never got paid back $60. I have no info on them besides their legitimate phone number. What could I do to seek revenge on them?
I am trying to calculate a budget within my tax refund. I aksed a question a few minutes ago regarding replacing brakes and the worst case scenario. This repair came up under worst case scenario for steering wheel shimmy and vibration. Just trying to figure how expensive this brake job will be if it unearths something unpleasant. (want to know how much of my refund to set aside for the not-so-fun spending!)
Windows XP Home Boot Problem?
Posted by: | CommentsI am trying to fix a Dell desktop for my friend. He has Windows XP Home SP2. The problem is that his computer continues to reboot, over and over again. On first power up, the computer goes the screen that lists the different options for boot-up, (safe mode, safe mode /w networking or command prompt, last known good config, or stat windows normally)
All the safe mode options make the computer freeze, while the other options start the windows boot sequence, but about 6 seconds into the boot, a blue screen (of death) flashes extremely fast, then the computer restarts.
I tried to boot from the system CD, but it freezes when i try to get to the repair consoul (the hit “r” to repair your system).
Does anybody have any idea how to work-around or fix this problem? I am sure that if i can get to a command prompt, i could fix it, but I can’t.

Mom was hospitalized twice this year and has been unable to continue working–Dad is a hard working blue collar guy. They live paycheck to paycheck and without Mom’s income, things are going downhill fast. Other family members have been contributing for the last 9 months, but they too are now stretched. The house is up for sale and they are looking to move to the NC area–hoping to get a fresh start in an area where the housing market will be in their favor. how much should front brakes cost? also, does your dealer charge for this…?
Posted by: | Commentsis $200 too much? i have an extended warranty and asked them to check out my car-they are charging $75 if I don’t pay for the $200 repair. What’s the point in having an extended warranty? is this a normal practice?
I know that brakes aren’t covered. I was referring to the $75 fee that I have to pay if I don’t agree to have them do the repairs after they diagnose it.
