Can someone help solve my my computer problem. Ive tried everything and am pretty desperate?
This is whats happening:
My Computer wont shut down or do a restart properly it keeps going to a screen that says logging off and then stays there.
Some Programs will open such as task manager and a few others and a little icon will stay in the task bar but they never actually open the program.
It wont let me install new programs. such as new spyware and virus programs.
I’ve run AVG,Malware bites, windows defender, Spyware terminator and CCleaner and they all come up with nothing and ive updated them all.
Ive done a system restore and in both normal and save mode and run all of my virus software in safe mode and still nothing.
My wireless and internet connections folder wont open and the wireless icon in the task bar just stays there and wont respond when i click on it or try to open it but it will randomly connect to the internet even though the icon says it is not connected.
would like to see if anyone can help before i have to take it to a computer repair.
You can reinstall windows yourself if you have a windows cd or you can use a recovery partition on your computer if you have one of those. Don’t waste your money at a computer repair shop, re-loading windows is not that hard at all. But if you don’t have anyone of these then maybe the repair shop will be your best bet. Because this is all there going to do anyways is reformat your computer.
boot and at the same time tap the F8 key when the options screen appears choose safemode with networking then go to Safety.Live.com that is Microsoft’s online virus scanner use the full service scan…when you get back from this consider removing either windows defender or spyware terminator from start-up as they maybe conflicting with each other…to remove from start up click start/run type in msconfig click ok choose start up skroal down to the item that you want to remove and uncheck it click apply then ok restart your machine when asked upon restart you will see the msconfig dialog box just check the “do not show or start msconfig on start up” and click ok…this way you can still use it has a scanner when needed
