best way to clean out a counter-top ‘fry daddy’?

my 21 year old sister seems to be incompetent. I bought her a fry daddy for christmas and she has not cleaned it out since january. she dumped the oil out and thats about it and now there is like orange and green mold in it. naturally, she brings it to her little sister to do all the work so she can reap the benifits. :\
what is the best way to clean this?
Thanks!

Any kind of an orange cleaner will cut grease.

SOS pads and elbow grease. Soak in Dawn soap and hot water, then get to scrubbin!
