As my using voltas split ac from last 3 year, I found not technical problem in it and gives a good atmosphere in very hot summer season: its my personal experience with voltas split ac. Or else you can go for samsung or electrolux branded split acs.

Make sure you get a Manual J from the installer that is a room by room survey to see how much cooling you need. I charge tre hund for this.
The next thing you kneed to know is, You get what you pay for.
Goodman is cheap and is put in by hacks it will be 2 to 3 K less and it will be crap.
Compair that to Trane, American Standard, York, or Lennox, the top of the line brands, usually installed by Professionals
There are tax rebated for high seer or efficiency units in the US but the increased cost will be more than the rebate.
