2001 taurus blown head gasket, is this someting difficult to repair ?

thanks to everyone i guess i have a blown head gasket on my 2001 taurus, is this something i can repair myself if i buy it ? where is it located ? i do have some basic knowledge and handyman skills but still kind of a newbie with cars. any help would be gladly appreciated
